Blendtec is a brand name you can trust. They’ve built their reputation on high-end blenders year after year. Those blenders always use the most modern tech to provide you with a superior blending experience. Read this guide to learn all about some of the best Blendtec blenders out there now.

At-home blending – I’ve been doing it for so long now that I don’t remember when I started. But what I do remember is the process of starting this “hobby.” Back in those days, at-home blending was picking up popularity. As such, everyone and their mom were interested in buying a modern blender.

The blender market responded in turn. Soon, there was a sea of new blender models to swim through. Many of those new blenders carried new, unproven brands. Needless to say, I was a little overwhelmed when it came time to buy a blender. I simply didn’t know which brand was the best. Moreover, I didn’t know which models would perform best in my kitchen.

Over time, I cycled through a few popular blenders. At that time, I tried almost every major blender brand. And do you know what I discovered? Blendtec stands above the rest. Blendtec makes the best blender machines for today’s consumers, hands down. Their blenders always perform well and are packed with added value.

You shouldn’t have to try out a million blenders to find the right one. That’s why I’ve put together this guide to the best Blendtec blenders. Herein, I’ve highlighted why Blendtec is such a trusted brand. I’ve also reviewed 9 of their top models, making it easy to choose one that fits your needs.

So, what are you waiting for? Your new favorite blender is waiting for you. Its name is “Blendtec,” and it can’t wait to become part of your kitchen.

Why Do People Choose Blendtec Blenders?

This is a question I’m asked all the time. Some haven’t even heard of Blendtec, which is a big surprise to me. Simply put, people choose Blendtec for a variety of reasons. Unlike some other blender brands, Blendtec isn’t a one-trick pony. Their products are all great, starting from the very first smoothie you make at home.

But you may not be convinced about Blendtec on my recommendation alone. If that’s the case for you, then read on. You’ll see why this brand has built a reputation with its loyal customers.

What’s this brand’s reputation?

Blendtec’s reputation begins several decades ago before home blending was a hot trend. To be specific, Blendtec started back in 1975. In that year, founder Tom Dickinson had a significant breakthrough. Tom found a more efficient way to grind grain with stainless steel, rather than stone. This kind of innovation would go on to set the trend for Blendtec.

Over time, Blendtec would be one of the first companies to bring now-common innovations to the market. For example, Blendtec led the way in adding pre-set blending cycles to their models.

They were also one of the first to add a reliably touch interface to their blenders. Blendtec’s innovations even include the self-serve smoothie machine. In other words, Blendtec has always had a pioneering spirit.

Up until 2006, though, Blendtec was mostly a well-known industry name. While they made consumer products, they weren’t yet a household name. That changed in that year with Blendtec’s first-ever viral marketing campaign.

Knowns as “Will It Blend?” this series was centered on the brand’s YouTube videos. In those videos, Tom blends all kinds of unusual stuff in their blenders. These started simply with “blends” of golf balls, marbles, and the like.

But soon, the videos’ popularity led Blendtec to blend an iPod, a remote control, and more. More than half a billion people have watched these videos to date. This cemented Blendtec as a brand with name recognition.

Why do people like Blendtec blenders?

Of course, you can talk about Blendtec’s reputation all day. But until you get down to brass tacks, you won’t truly see why their blenders are so popular. So, with that in mind, these are just a few of the features that current users like the most.

To start, many users love Blendtec’s high-speed motors. In many cases, these motors provide as much power as a pro-grade unit. The Blendtec Classic 575, for example, has a 1,560 watt motor at its core. Meanwhile, top of the line units like the Blendtec Pro 800 have a mighty 1,800-watt motor. In any case, you’ll never run short on power with one of these blenders.

Blendtec blenders are also durable from toe to tip. This includes their drive sockets, which are always built to withstand years of use. The same goes for Blendtec’s blades, which are known to resist wear without corroding. You can count on that durability, or you’ll get free to replace, as well. That’s thanks to this brand’s excellent warranties, which start at eight years per unit.

Blendtec’s jar design is also one-of-a-kind. Known as the “WildSide,” these jars are very durable and easy to clean after every use. Better yet, they create a unique internal vortex. This ensures every ingredient is always liquified to perfection. This jar is so impressive that it has been copied. Blendtec even won a lawsuit when a competitor stole this jar’s patented design.

What are some other popular Blendtec features?

Those aren’t Blendtec’s only useful features, of course. There are several more than new users in particular appreciate. For example, Blendtec’s simple touch-based interface has gained repeated praise among product reviewers.

These controls not only look sleek and modern, but they also prevent you from needing to babysit your blender. Simply tap the preset mode or speed setting you want, and your Blendtec handles the rest.

Blendtec’s blades are also noteworthy when it comes to both their durability and their blending capability. On the first point, their blades are made from cold-forged steel, which allows them to be about 10x stronger than other brands’ blades. Those same blades are also 80% than competing blades, which helps them to grind up any ingredient without dulling.

Dulling is never an issue with Blendtec blades. That’s because they are already dull by default. This is on purpose, of course. Those blunt edges are better able to pulverize produce without chopping up the vital nutrients contained therein. They’re also able to reach speeds of up to 300 MPH, which is very impressive for a consumer-grade unit.

What type of jars does Blendtec offer?

Blendtec currently offers three types of jars that are compatible with most of their standard units.

  • WildSide+ jar has become their most popular option by far. This jar is unique because it has a 5th “wild side” that creates a vortex during the blending process. This enables a more potent blend that never leaves chunks behind. The WildSide+ also features a built-in handle, making it easy to manipulate it after a blend is complete.
  • FourSide jar is their take on a standard blending jar. While many take for granted a square-shaped blending jar, Blendtec was one of the first to popularize this design. As such, you can expect these jars to produce a little extra friction, which is ideal for making soup. This jar also excels at grinding some dry ingredients, such as nuts and coffee beans.
  • Twister jar, Blendtec’s latest innovation in jar technology, is a real master when it comes to grinding down hard ingredients, and considered as the most effective. This compact jar act as a food processor in many ways, allowing you to make reasonable batches of nut butter, hummus, and more using your Blendtec blender base.

  • Negatives. One common complaint about the Blendtec Classic 575 is its tendency to provide errors right out of the box. Five or more reviewers specifically noted that their unit indicated an “overload” error before they even used their unit for the first time. In a similar vein, some users have said that this model’s motor will suddenly fail unexpectedly. In both cases, users were unsuccessful in resolving the problem using the user guide’s instructions.

Blendtec Total Classic – Classic Series

Main Features

  • Ten-speed options can be used for everything from salsa to hot soup
  • Dull blade system ideal for crushing ice
  • Fully sealed push-button controls are reactive and durable
  • The illuminated LCD screen is easy to read
  • Self-cleaning mode removes all debris

The Blendtec Total Classic is the next step up from this brand. At its core is the same 1,560 watt motor as smaller units. But this model does far, far more with that motor. For example, it has ten-speed options built right in. This allows the unit to make more than just smoothies. You can make everything from salsa to hot soup in this blender. You can even crush up ice using this model’s unique dull blade system.

With all of those speed options, one might expect this blender to be tough to use. But not so! Instead, the Blendtec Total Classic utilizes a push-button interface that can be learned in minutes. It also uses an LCD screen to show which mode is presently in use.

This makes it easy to keep an eye on your blend, even from across the kitchen. Of note, those buttons are also fully sealed. As a result, liquids won’t damage them or cause them to lose effectiveness.

The Blendtec Total Classic is also easier to clean than many consumer blenders. This is due in part to its self-cleaning mode. To make this work, all you need is to throw some soap and water into its jar. Then, simply push the cleaning button, and away it goes. In under a minute, the whole jar is free of debris. That makes this model great to use daily.

What Customers are Saying:

  • Positives. Many users of the Blendtec Total Classic agree that it is much easier to clean than previous iterations of the same model. In particular, they found it much easier to unscrew the unit’s blade and remove its rubber sealing. Numerous users of the Blendtec Total Classic also complemented its newly reduced form factor. Moreover, they agree that this model is easier than ever to store in a cupboard.
  • Negatives. On the reverse side, many folks who complimented this model’s cleanability noted that any cleaning must be done right away. Otherwise, they say, debris tends to dry onto the exterior, making it harder to remove in the long run. Another common complaint was its volume of sound output. One particular reviewer even noted that the Blendtec Total Classic is so loud that they cannot use it when their family members are sleeping.

Blendtec Classic Fit – Classic Series

Main Features

  • Designed and priced as an introductory model
  • Short and long pulse for more control over texture
  • Same 1,560 motor as more expensive models
  • Compatible with large capacity FourSide jars

The Blendtec Classic Fit is a newer variation on a “classic” design. To be specific, this model has been redesigned for those without much blending experience. For example, this model includes an easy-to-read LCD timer with simple adjustment buttons.

It’s also very lightweight, making it easy to take it out and use it as often as possible. This blender has even priced to make it quick and easy to get into at-home blending.

For an introductory model like this, some brands would cut corners. But Blendtec would never do that. The Blendtec Classic Fit proves that because it features many specs from its standard line of products. This includes a 1,560-watt motor that can last for more than a decade of regular use. It also comes with one of these brand’s specialized jars, known as the FourSide. This jar has a huge capacity, making it possible to share your new blended creations with ease.

However, Blendtec did cut down just one aspect of this blender. Specifically, it has a much shorter warranty. In total, that warranty only lasts for two years.

That may be rather short if you intend to use this unit long term. But if you just want to test out this brand, you won’t need more than two years to do so. Moreover, that shorter warranty is reflected in this model’s lower price. So, in reality, this is mainly a good option if you are shopping on a budget.

What Customers are Saying:

  • Positives. Blendtec Classic Fit users often compared their unit to similar Vitamix units. In those comparisons, the Blendtec almost always came out on top. Often, they noted how the Blendtec’s square-shaped vessel was easier to empty of its contents and clean afterward. Several users also indicated that they’ve now noticed this same model being used in smoothie shops due to its reliably standard of performance.
  • Negatives. Multiple users of the Blendtec Classic Fit have noted how much it heats liquids. While this isn’t an issue for folks trying to make soup, some said that this is a significant issue for folks who just want to make smoothies. Along the same lines, some purchasers of the Blendtec Classic Fit decried its lack of speed controls. This, they say, leads to an over-reliance on the pulse button.

Blendtec Designer 625 – Designer Series

Main Features

  • Total speed control with slider bar and reactive pulse button
  • Forged stainless-steel blades are 80% thicker than average
  • Noise-reducing molded plastic enclosure
  • The sleek exterior comes in all black, white, or grey
  • Resists heat up to 500° F

As the basic model for the Designer series, you can expect this unit to set the standard well. In many ways, the Blendtec Designer 625 lives up to that calling. This can be seen right off the bat with its blades.

They are forged from stainless steel, making them corrosion resistant against acidic juices. Better yet, these same blades have been made 80% thicker than competing blades. As such, they are super durable and able to resist bending or breaking.

Speaking of durability, the Blendtec Designer 625 has a lot to offer on that front. For example, the entire unit has been rated to resist heat up to 500° F. That’s a great trait to have given that this blender can mix and heat soup in mere minutes.

Also, in turns of durability, this unit features a molded plastic enclosure. Not only can this withstand impacts, but it can also contain a lot of the motor’s noise.

The Blendtec Designer 625 is also very usable, which is excellent for inexperienced users. To that end, it features a touch interface that requires little effort to operate. Simply choose which pre-set program or time you want, and this blender takes charge.

Should you need a customized speed, this model has you covered as well. It has a sliding speed bar that gives you all the power when it comes to blending.

What Customers are Saying:

  • Positives. The Blendtec Designer 625’s sleek exterior has been the subject of numerous complements from reviews. Many of those same reviewers noted how powerful the unit was in addition to its aesthetic style. One even went so far as to describe their smoothies as “unreal” in terms of both flavor and texture. That same user was pleased by how many smoothies this unit can make at once due to its enlarged capacity.
  • Negatives. Some buyers of the Blendtec Designer 625 have noted that it can occasionally arrive with issues even before it is used. In particular, these users found those defective units to throw out numerous errors while also failing to light up all of the display buttons. Those who were eventually able to get their unit to work found that the motor gave out earlier than expected, with smoking often signaling an impending motor failure.

Blendtec Designer 650 – Designer Series

Main Features
  • Fully sealed to prevent leaks
  • The capacitive touchscreen interface is responsive and easy to clean off
  • Compatible with WildSide+ jar, which accelerates blending speeds
  • Includes pre-programmed cycles for ice cream, margaritas, juice, and more
  • Reliable 8-year warranty covers the entire unit

Next up is the Blendtec Designer 650. This model makes use of many of this brand’s latest tech. For example, this unit comes standard with a WildSide+ jar. As an improvement on this brand’s famous jar design, you can expect to be durable beyond compare.

But also, this “plus” model has a bit more in store. It has a “fifth” side that creates an internal vortex. This, in turn, allows this model to blend far faster.

That’s not the end of this blender’s tech arsenal, though. The Blendtec Designer 650 also includes a touchscreen control interface that is very responsive. Should some juice drip onto it, it can also be cleaned off with ease.

Using this control panel, you’ll be able to select from any of this model’s several programs. When blending for the family, you could make its ice cream or juice function. Meanwhile, when making a beverage for yourself, you could even use its margarita mode.

You’ll also be able to make large or small batches with this blender. To do large batches, you can use the WildSide+ jar that comes with the unit. However, if you want a more personal blend, you can add a Twister jar to your package. Both types of jars are well-sealed, too, not to mention fully BPA-free.

What Customers are Saying:

Positives. Blendtec Designer 650 users have been very complimentary towards its touch controls. They often note that they are sharp, bright, and easy to activate with just a light press. Some users have even stated that the lack of lag after pressing these controls is impressive. The Blendtec Designer 650 has also earned positive remarks for its productive versatility in making many products like baby food and salsas that would slow down a lessor food processor.

Negatives. While many users have overall liked the Blendtec Designer 650, some have complained that it costs more than a reasonable amount. One particular user even noted that a single Blendtec Designer 650 cost as much as a “luxury car payment.” Some users have paired this complaint with complaints about the unit’s longevity. To that end, they’ve claimed that its productive life span is not as long as its price would suggest.

Blendtec Designer 675 – Designer Series

Main Features
  • WildSide jar includes a handle for easy pouring
  • Jar lid latches tight to prevent leaks
  • LED interface includes eight manual speeds, pulse, and a speed slider
  • Utilizes a unique blending pattern to prevent uneven textures

The Blendtec Designer 675 doesn’t add a ton to its line of products. Even so, it has some useful features that users will appreciate. This includes its use of a WildSide jar, which has become iconic within this brand.

Because this kind of jar comes standard, you’ll be able to make large batches right off the bat. Those big batches won’t make a mess, either. That’s because this model’s lid fits tight enough to prevent leaks entirely.

To make the most of that jar, the Blendtec Designer 675 comes standard with eight manual speed options. These allow you to make all kinds of smoothies with your desired texture. For whatever reason, this model also does a far better job of combining ingredients without needing extra pulses. This indicates that it has a unique blending pattern, which is always worth paying a little extra for.

You’ll always be able to keep a close eye on what this blender is up to, as well. To do that, just glance over at its LED screen. There, you can see which mode is currently in use. You can also check the remaining time here, thus allowing you to achieve the ideal blend texture.

What Customers are Saying:

  • Positives: Several Blendtec Designer 675 users have noted how capable this unit is for grinding grain. Those users have also stated that this unit applies very little friction heat to this type of ingredient, thus preserving its overall flavor and nutritional content. Other users, meanwhile, have enjoyed their ability to pour in ingredients directly though this unit’s vented lid.
  • Negatives: Though it appears to be a rare manufacturing error, some users of the Blendtec Designer 675 have claimed that their unit wobbles and moves about while in smoothie mode. Though this seems to be a hit and miss issue, it is clear that this unit’s noise production is more reliably. To be specific, numerous users have claimed that this is a very noisy blender overall.

Blendtec Designer 725 – Designer Series

Main Features
  • Powerful 1,800 watt motor at a fraction of the price
  • Die-cast stainless steel finish is both durable and stylish
  • 100-speed capacitive touch slider allows for masterful control
  • The simple 10-second feature allows for effective adjustment mid-blend
  • SmartBlend technology prevents loading errors, overheating, and air pockets

At the top end of this product line, you’ll find the Blendtec Designer 725. When I say “top,” I mean it in this case. This model has many of the features seen in pro-grade units, after all. For example, you’ll find a 1,800 watt motor at this model’s heart.

The extra power from this engine allows it to have a whopping 100+ speed settings. All of those settings can be controlled using a special slide, too. As a result, you’ll feel like a blending master in no time with this unit.

At the same time, this model is one of the cheapest to utilize SmartBlend technology. This is a new system invented by Blendtec to take the headache out of at-home blending. Without ever needing to touch a button, this system prevents loading errors and overheating from occurring. It can even detect air pockets within your blend and ensure they are adequately filled. This system is almost like having a mini assistant built right into your high-end blender.

Another pro-grade mark on the Blendtec Designer 725 is its stainless steel exterior. This entire case was die-cast, making far more sturdy than other similar enclosures. It’s also very stylish, thus making it easy to keep it on your counter while still matching your décor.

What Customers are Saying:

  • Positives. Like other models in its line, the Blendtec Designer 725 has received praise for the sensitivity of its touch controls. Some even praised this model’s sensitivity compared to some professional-grade units. This model also received some reliable comparisons to Ninja blenders, with this model often being raised above its competitor when it came to blending leafy green veggies, ginger, and carrots.
  • Negatives.Lid security was a common complaint with the Blendtec Designer 725. Some noted that their lid seal degraded too quickly or simply was not strong enough to hold in liquids, to begin with. In rare cases, some users even said their lid popped off while the unit was running, creating a substantial mess.

Blendtec Professional 750 – Pro Series

Main Features
  • Includes blending cycles for sauces, bread dough, cappuccinos, soup, and more
  • The base can be mounted to a counter or remain portable
  • The metal base is ultra-durable for a decade or more of use
  • The one-touch timer allows for quick startup

Now, we’re into Blendtec’s pro line of products. The Blendtec Professional 750 is a great model to lead this off. Its quality starts with its exterior, which is very durable by nature. This includes its base, which is made from thick metal plating that won’t bend, dent, or tarnish.

This base has a hidden power as well. To be specific, it can be mounted into a countertop if need be. So, smoothie shop owners can also give the Blendtec Professional 750 a solid consideration.

Though it is unusual, the Blendtec Professional 750 does feature only a 1,560-watt motor. This may feel small for a pro-grade product, but this unit makes the most of its. Its 6 pre-programmed cycles can do a lot with that motor behind it.

To that end, this blender can make sauces, bread dough, cappuccinos, and much more. All you need to do is use this model’s one-touch interface, and it handles the rest.

That one-touch operation extends to this model’s timer as well. That effectively takes the guesswork out of determining the perfect blend time. Of course, you could use the “Blending 101” book that comes with this unit free of charge, too. It’ll teach you how to make the most of this blender in mere minutes.

What Others are Saying:

  • Positives. Numerous Blendtec Professional 750 users found this model’s metallic exterior to be quite attractive, even compared to pro-grade units from other brands. They were also complimentary of this model’s LCD screen, which they say was far easier to read than previous iterations. A fair number of reviews also mentioned this model’s capacity for making nut butter.
  • Negatives. For whatever reason, the Blendtec Professional 750 seems to have a problem with a sticky blade. This is according to numerous reviewers who said that their unit’s blade would simply refuse to move without any apparent reason. When it did work, though, those same users also complained about how loud its motor ran. One user even said they always covered their ears when using it.

Blendtec Professional 800 – Pro Series

Main Features
  • Recently reduced in price to around $800
  • Unique sound enclosure significantly reduces output noise
  • Blunt blades and jar design draw ingredients downward in a vortex
  • A motor capable of outputting 3.8 horsepower when fully utilized
  • Comes with an enhanced 10-year warranty

Finally, we come to the Blendtec Professional 800. This model is at the top of this brand’s current offering…and with good reason. This unit has the best of all features for a consumer blender, including the fact that it comes standard with a WildSide+ jar.

This standard-issue jar has been enhanced even further, though. It also includes a handle and vented lid, making it super easy to share your blended creations with friends and family.

At its core, you’ll also find a top tier motor. Specifically, the Blendtec Professional 800 utilizes a 1,800-watt motor. It is capable of reaching a full 3.8 horsepower on its own, which is leaps and bounds more robust than most consumer blenders.

You might expect such a strong unit to produce a ton of noise as a tradeoff. But even there, this unit has you covered. It comes with a particular noise enclosure that keeps its operation to a whisper.

The Blendtec Professional 800’s value cannot be ignored, either. Its price was recently lowered to around $800, for example. You could easily expect to pay $1,000 or more for a blender this strong and this durable.

But instead, Blendtec has slashed its prices and pumped in even more value. To that end, the Blendtec Professional 800’s comes standard with a 10-year warranty. That’s a full decade of reliability for this top-tier blender.

What Customers are Saying:

  • Positives. Though it was technically designed for professional use, many reviewers said they were pleased to have this unit in their kitchen. To that end, many were impressed at how little soap and water were needed to clean the Blendtec Professional 800’s entire jar. Most positives reviews of this model also mentioned its specialized sound enclosure and its ability to deaden operation noise, as well as effectively.
  • Negatives. One noteworthy issue some Blendtec Professional 800 users found relates to the size of the jar used. While it can secure Blendtec’s larger jars well, there appears to be constant instability with their smaller jar models. One user even noted how using a smaller jar tends to cause rapid expansion of the blended liquid, which could (and did, in the case of that user) cause the contents to spill out of the top.

How Much Does a Blendtec Cost?

I’ll be honest when it comes to Blendtec’s prices. At first glance, a Blendtec blender might give you sticker shock. Even their basic models are priced well above a “standard” blender.

While that might price some folks out, I implore you to consider the value that comes with that price. Indeed, few other brands can match Blendtec when it comes to value.

Take the most basic model in Blendtec’s collection, for example. The Classic 575 is priced at right around $280.

For that price, you get pro-level performance from this model’s winged blade set. It also allows you to blend up to 90 oz. of ingredients at once. That’s almost twice what some “basic” blenders offer.

This model also comes with a useful rubber spatula. It can be used easily to ensure you never miss a drop of blended goodness. Finally, that higher price accounts for this model’s eight-year warranty. In many ways, this blender will pay for itself in its decade or more of service in your kitchen.

Even at their most expensive, Blendtec blenders are a wise investment. That includes their pro line of products. The Professional 800, for example, uses a novel latching system to prevent accidents.

Its specialized enclosure also deadens almost all the unit’s output noise. Add in a substantial 10-year warranty, and you have a recipe for a great value.

FAQs

Q. Can I use a Blendtec as a food processor?

A. Yes, you can. Blendtec blenders are often able to grind up ingredients beyond fruits and veggies. Their use of blunt blades makes them ideal for grinding coffee beans or spices. Besides that, you can also use most models to make nut butters or grind up nuts outright. These blenders are far easier to clean than a food processor, too.

Q. Can a Blendtec be used as a juicer?

A. Yes, it can. However, these units are only able to perform “whole” juicing. In other words, they are not able to filter out pulp during the juicing process. For some, this might result in a thicker juice mixture. However, many agree that “whole” juice blends retain more nutrients. So, it’s worth your while to try juicing with one of these blenders.

Q. Is a Blendtec worth the price?

A. At first, you might be intimidated by the price tag on a Blendtec. Indeed, they cost more than your average consumer blender. But that price is well worth it. Most models come with enhanced features typically seen in pro-grade blenders. Also, they’re super durable when used and cared for daily. After factoring in their 8+ year warranties, these blenders do pay for themselves.

Q. Is Blendtec made in the USA?

A. Blendtec blenders are “designed and assembled in the USA.” As such, most of the manufacturing process for these units takes place within the US. To be specific, much of it occurs in Orem, Utah, where they are headquartered. Recently, the company has made efforts to bring even more of their process in house. You can read more about it on their website.

Q. How long do Blendtec jars last?

A. With proper care and maintenance, a Blendtec jar can last as long as the unit itself. In most cases, that’s as long as 8 to 10 years. However, as long as you keep it clean between uses and prevent it from being dropped, they can easily last longer. However, commercial use of their jars tends to degrade their durability noticeably.

Q. Which is better – Blendtec or Vitamix?

A. This is really a matter of preference – Vitamix is definitely a better-known name in the industry. They’ve also been around a good bit longer. But in terms of their current product, I believe that Blendtec has an edge. This can best be seen in the fact that Vitamix straight up copied Blendtec’s jar design several years back. This was determined by a lawsuit that was judged in Blendtec’s favor.

Q. Does Blendtec have a glass jar?

A. No, Blendtec does not currently offer a glass jar. Instead, they provide several jars made from durable plastic materials that won’t ever shatter when dropped. This is because they are made from Tritan polyester, which is entirely free of harmful BPAs. Blendtec’s jars are also far lighter than glass variants, making them easier to manipulate safely.

Q. Can Blendtec go in a dishwasher?

A. As with all blenders, a Blendtec base should never be exposed to water. However, a Blendtec’s jar may be cleaned in a dishwasher safely. Doing so is encouraged from time to time to prevent debris build-up.

Q. What kind of warranty protection does Blendtec offer?

A. Most Blendtec models come with an 8-year warranty. Several of their top-tier offerings now come with a 10-year warranty, too. However, some of their entry-level models only come with a 2-year warranty. All of these warranties cover the entire unit, though, which is an added plus.

Conclusion: Which Blendtec Model is Right for You?

If I haven’t already made this point clear, then I’ll say it once more – you should invest in a Blendtec blender. Across their line of consumer-grade units, you’ll find tons of features that will make at-home blending a treat.

Their blenders are also super durable, which ensures that they’ll be useable for a decade or more. All of this makes their final price reasonable, too, even if it does mean paying a bit extra upfront.

However, if you’re still not sure which Blendtec blender is right for you, consider the following suggestions. If you’re looking just to start out blending at home or save money, then the Blendtec Classic Fit is right for you.

Meanwhile, if you want an upgrade, then you should consider the Blendtec Designer 725. Finally, true at-home blending experts should set their sights on the Blendtec Professional 800.

Of course, this is all based upon my research and experience with Blendtec blenders. I’m sure your fellow at-home smoothie makers can all provide some useful insight as well.
